As educators, guides or leaders, there are certain "essentials"
everyone should have.
Wilderness areas present complex risks requiring the advanced
situation management skills of a prepared leader. In this program,
you will learn how to improvise and use medical supplies while
carrying out evacuation plans.
Your training will provide you with comprehensive skills to
manage injuries caused by force as well as environmental injuries
and illnesses.

guide in conjunction with a lead guide possessing
Advanced Wilderness First

Capabilities
This course can be and has been tailored for special groups including
- Ocean Kayaking Guides addressing paddling injuries, ocean
related trauma and sickness, plant, marine animal and fish related
problems.
- Climbing Guides dealing with falls and environmental injuries.
- Trekking Guides addressing exotic insect, reptile, animal
interactions & diseases that are uncommon to North Americans.
- River Rafting Guides dealing with freshwater related injuries
and environmental conditions.
- Hunting and Fishing Guides addressing gunshots, trauma and
environmental conditions.
- Forestry and Mining Workers dealing with chainsaw and equipment
related injuries.
- Ocean Cruising dealing with extended care, ocean related
injuries and medical conditions.
